I appreciate the clear presentation and personal perspectives that she shared and also appreciate how difficult the process was going from nothing to what they have now. Also love that much of this has been spearheaded by a SLP – great job!
Especially loved the structured step-by-step process of integration of interdisciplinary simulation.
It’s very timely and practical information, since we hear from our clinical sites that new grads are having trouble communicating with other disciplines. We have added that aspect to our sims. Also, on how to reach out to other disciplines on our campus because nursing is new and other areas might want to use our sim and collaborate.
Informative for tips for obtaining faculty and student buy in.
You recognized and discussed some of the issues we face every time we discuss this topic in our Simulation Committee Meetings. Communication is very important to student’s learning. The better we learn how to communicate, we will enhance the learning experience and keep improving.
