This panel presentation will focus upon our interprofessional team approach in planning simulation experiences for students in different healthcare degree programs. Our faculty and staff planning team designed a virtual interprofessional simulation through SimPHARM® and virtual meeting technology. The team developed both asynchronous and synchronous activities to meet the unique learning objectives for both undergraduate and graduate students from nutrition, nursing, and physician assistant studies. The panel will discuss the challenges faced, the adaptations required, and the quality improvement processes that were integrated.
Learning Objectives:
– Discuss innovative solutions using faculty/staff team collaboration to meet the student learning objectives across each discipline
– Identify the characteristics for effective team planning and implementation of an IPE simulation
– Explore how to integrate cultural considerations into learning objectives across disciplines using IPE simulation.
