This 1-hour webinar will present the SimZones curricular development tool as one methodology to fully integrate simulation into academic curriculum. Participants will be introduced to SimZones as a curricular tool in the academic setting to support the development of practice ready graduates in their discipline. A worked example of integration with the Disaster Simulation process in an undergraduate nursing course, lessons learned and the impact on the stance of the learning leader will be discussed.
Readiness goals – at the end of this workshop participants will be ready to:
– Integrate active learning into a course or curriculum in an academic setting.
– Reflect on your stance as a learning leader.

Well organized in stating the problem and showing how they proceeded to improve how things were done. The example of the Sim Zones in practice and how they were utilized for students was particularly very helpful.
